Clyde Bergemann (SCB)（克莱德贝尔格曼） had been using SAP ECC 6.0 for nearly 15 years. The system suffered from data redundancy, cumbersome operations, excessive custom development, difficult upgrades, and rising hardware and maintenance costs. The company wanted to adopt standardized processes, reduce customization, and lower IT burden while improving flexibility in product configuration and costing.

Challenges

• The legacy ECC system had limited scalability and high maintenance costs. Excessive custom development made upgrades difficult. The company lacked flexible configure-to-order capabilities and precise cost visibility at the order level, limiting its ability to respond quickly to customer requirements.

Solution

BOS Cloud led the migration from ECC 6.0 to SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Cloud, adopting SAP’s IMC (Industrial Machinery & Components) best practices. The project implemented VC (Variant Configuration) + MTO (Make-to-Order) to enable flexible product configuration based on customer needs, with configuration data accurately passed to production. A pricing and margin calculation model was introduced to support both configurable and non-configurable materials. Standard and actual costing comparison was established to drive cost control.
